About the Founder

Sangita Santosham is a counselling psychologist and expressive arts therapist with over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. She works with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and complex emotional experiences, offering therapy that is attuned to each person’s needs and pace.

She holds a Master’s in Education (M.Ed) from Oklahoma City University, USA, where she built a foundation in human development and psychological support. She later pursued extensive training in trauma recovery and continues to specialise in Expressive Arts Therapy through the Florida Institute of Expressive Arts Therapy.

Sangita’s clinical work spans hospitals, schools, mental health clinics, and private practice settings. She has supported individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, including those living with anxiety disorders, trauma histories, and emotional dysregulation. Her experience across India, Europe, and North America gives her a deep appreciation for the cultural and relational layers that shape healing.

Outside her practice, Sangita is an avid reader and actively engaged in the community arts, particularly music and theatre. She also works with visual art, movement, and time outdoors—creative practices that inform and deepen her therapeutic approach.

Approach To Therapy

Our approach is both trauma-informed and integrative. We work with a deep awareness of how trauma—whether rooted in childhood, relationships, loss, or systemic harm—can shape your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships. This means safety, choice, and control are central to your healing process.

You’ll never be pushed to share more than you’re ready for. We move at your pace, attuned to your nervous system and comfort—whether in person or online.

An integrative approach allows us to draw from a range of methods, including EMDR, EFT, Expressive Arts Therapy, and skill-based anxiety treatment. Some sessions may feel reflective and creative, others more structured and practical. We’ll discover what works best—together.
